What most of these products leave out of their information is how to put a website together - the practicalities of how to build a site and get it published on the web.

 

The purpose of this site is to help people understand how sites are put together, and build their own websites cheaply. The information and links given here allows a person to find where to learn website building, and where to find the tools to do it. You will not find an easier path unless you pay for it. There is enough info here to get you started, but you have to use the links to learn the basic skills you need. 

You need a little learning, but you will be able to make a simple website, which can be used as a practical introduction to making money on the web. 

After the experience of doing a little web building, many people outsource some of the tasks associated with the site construction, concentrating on assembling the components and finding ways of driving traffic to sites. 

Even if the reader decides that it is easier to pay a professional to build his site, a little rudimentary knowledge gained in this way is invaluable, because it gives one the capacity to make small changes. Learning also aids judgement (you can tell if you are being overcharged) and gives the vocabulary to discuss the matter with the paid professional.

Assembling the simplest white page website, using only basic HTML, teaches a lot - and you can do it after a day of learning.
